I bought a Red 40 last year when they went on sale and it worked flawlessly last year. This year is a whole new story. I originally had trouble getting it to take any pictures when I first put it out this year and then I emailed covert about the problems I was having. The suggested downloading a firmware update and so I did that. Now all of my pictures display this odd mis-colored rectangle right in the middle of the picture. Has anyone else experienced this?
Yeah unfortunately that was my go to solution, but I don't think I would have 3 Sd cards in a row that were corrupting the photoS! And thanks Sam I will be sure to do that!
You can go here .. Support contact for Covert Scouting Cameras | Covert Scouting Cameras and fill out the form and someone will get back to you Monday am Thanks
Been doing some more tinkering, going to set it out today and give it one more shot. Have 4 more cameras that need to be set up so I will give it one last chance. Either way it won't be a complete waste because it still takes pictures, just would wish it didn't have that defect in it.
Well my last attempt was a complete failure. Put in new batteries and bought some new SD cards hoping I could solve the problem. That did not do the trick either. I let it soak for 2 weeks and went out to check it with my fingers crossed. Well not only did it tell me it didn't take any pictures, upon further inspection it also fried my brand new SD card as well! I put the SD card into my computer and it wont even allow me to open it to reformat. Now I tried to go through the Covert website and that wont even work. I went to the page that gutone4me posted earlier and I fill out all the information and click the send button and it just loads forever and never goes anywhere! Starting to get a little frustrated, but I still have hope that Covert will attempt to make it right because I have heard nothing but good things about their Customer Service reputation.
