Who's running the MP8s? I would like to see some night pictures before I pull the trigger on a couple. I am currently running MP6 Blacks and would like to compare. Thanks!

Here are some of mine. I'm not happy with the night time pic quality. The cameras take stellar daytime pics and have been reliable and battery life has been good. File sizes are smaller than others which make them download faster but the pic ratio is also a lot smaller than some others like the Moultrie M-880 and the G42ng stealthcam.

Thanks. I am running a couple mp6s as I stated but honestly my old Moultrie D-55IR takes just as good, if not better night pictures.

I have a few and love them. Since I'm on my phone and can't post any pics, I think the night quality is plenty good and will def be buying more. Best camera for the money in my opinion

I probably didn't do the "part quote" right but oh well....Covey, do you have night pics from your M880 in the same basic back drop setup?

Like the Covey said, i'm also not happy with night time pics. My cheapo WildGame Innovations Cam takes better ones. But it does have outstanding day time pictures, and takes a lot of pictures.

In the below picture, the buck is only 5 steps away from the camera

Here some daytime pictures too. The closes buck is 20 yards away and the farther buck is over 40...

I was thinking the same thing. The Stealthcam's aren't bad at all either.

I am actually leaning towards the 880s just to do a comparison. I am sure many will argue that I am not comparing apples to apples with the MP6 Black but I think it will be adequate. I plan to mount the 2 cameras side by side on a 1x4 or equivalent and let them face the same way and take the same pictures. I will post results. Heck I may even get an MP8 and an m880. From what I have seen they both have their pros and cons, are solid well reviewed cameras, cant seem to go wrong with either.

All three cams I posted pics of are decent cameras. The M-880's are 2013 models that I posted pics of. They still make the 2013 model but is upgraded from last year so they are a 2014 but with the same guts as the 2013. I just got 10 new 2013 model M-880's and they look different, control panel is different from my old ones I bought last year but they have the same specs and say 2013 model on the box. They have a 2014 model M-880 that has crappy specs so be careful what you get.

I actually really like the Stealthcam G42ng as an in between the MP8 Black and the Moultrie M-880. I also just got 10 new stealth cam G42's also. I rank the G42 ahead of the Coverts black flash.

I have a Covert MP8 black I will sell if wanted. Picked it up October 25th. I hunt a lot of field edges and the black out just does not have a the flash like I like on my IR cameras. Im sure it would be a great camera for in the woods setting though.

Most of my camera set ups are on field edges also. I am however thinking about making some stakes and putting the cams in the field or edge of the field and facing them towards or down the woods line.
