Great camera. Incredible day pictures. Good night pictures. Invisible to detect when triggered at night. Excellent battery life.

About as good of a camera you can buy without forking over the money for a Reconyx. I own four of them myself.

I got a black60 also and like the fact nothing has noticed the camera and got spooked like my other camera's flash. The small size, battery life and Trigger speed is great. I think this camera will do awesome on a trail or over a scrape. The viewing screen comes in handy and there are alot of options on the settings.

The little bit I messed with it I happy with it. Next year I will have it out more, but I am not second guessing this camera's capabilities at all.

Also the Covert support team here on the forums is second to none!. Look, 15 minutes after you posted you got a response. Try that with any other camera on the market. Even on other camera's facebook page you still have to wait for a while to get a response, if... you get one.

What other cameras did you have before this?

friends dont let friends buy cuddebacks :)

For me being a Moultrie guy for the last 7 years, it took a little bit getting used to the settings and setting up the Covert. Wasnt bad.

I found this video on Youtube helpful. I would have figured it out myself, but I had to to do something to pass the time till the UPS guy showed. haha

I just got a Red40, I have had it out since christmas. I am itching to get the card out of it and see how the pictures are. I have a Moutrie M80 and that is pretty good, but I think this one will be a bit better.

Personally I prefer a crummy Primos 35 over pretty much anything. I mean it's trigger speed is slow and loud, it's slightly detectable at night, and to top things off I am always changing the D batteries in it every month it seems.... ;)

I kid I kid...The Black 60 is the camera I wanted (only thing better is a Reconyx based on everything I've seen) but settled with the Red40 because as much as I LOVE covert cameras (currently own 3) I simply am not in a place to justify spending too much on a camera (hence why I own two CA models and now a Red40).

I have no doubt Pat, trust me you've sold me for life on Coverts. My little CA models flippin blow out our Primos cams (35s and 46s) we've used till now. I can't compare first hand with reconyx only from what I'm told, read and see...as I'm sorry I would never even consider buying a trail cam at the price tag of theirs! If I spend that much money it'll be for a Black 60 and some other model of a covert..possibly even another one :D

I just checked the pictures on the Red40 last night and all I can say is wow. Besides the fact that I had quite a few deer nose up to the flash(which would happen on any camera that has an exposed flash) the pictures were great, Some of the deer that I picked up would totally have been missed by my Moultrie M80. I am sold the next one of my cameras is going to be another Red40 or a Black60. The only gripe I had about the camera was the threaded mounting system. It looks like its just a thin piece of plastic between the nut thats inside and the bolt you are screwing into the nut and I could see that breaking pretty easily. My Moultrie is much more stout in that department. I'm not a fan of the bottom screw location either. I was much more happy with it in the center of that back like on my Moultrie also. I will post pictures up later to give you guys a couple shots.
