I was curious if any of you guys use maybe a doe urine (not estrous) for a cover scent during the early season? Or anything else that you think works?

I have been using coon urine. I had a 3.5yo buck come 50 yards down wind from me in january and didnt pay any attention to me. Im sticking with it.

Coon urine works well. I use doe P too. I use a scent wick and put it below my stand. I do it primarily to make deer think other deer are in the area.

Use what you want but none of it works. You can't cover one scent with another. How do you think a buck can follow a doe across a field, at a fast trot I may add? Don't you think the dirt, leaves, or corn stalks, have a much stronger scent than her foot step does? Just keep as clean as you can. Deer smell odors on the molecular level. It would be like you having a pile of black marbles on the ground and thinking you can hide a white one among them.
