I couldn't be happier for a couple of my friends right now! This past week has been very good to them in terms of hunting. The first buck was shot in Pike county somewhere and was taken by my friend Jared. I thought for sure he would have video footage of the kill but it turns out he spotted the buck bedded and did a spot and stalk on him. Here's a few pics of his buck!

The second buck is my friend Nate and I'm not sure where he shot his buck at. Check out the mass on the G-2's and 3's !

My guess would be a heavily managed piece of land.:)

Regardless congrats to them on 2 monsters anyone would be proud of.

Nah, just about any property in IL has the chance to produce bucks that big if there are good genetics and a group of hunters that follow the same management. We've had 5 150+" deer killed by hunters in our party and neighboring properties in the last 6 or so years including a 192" NT and 182" typical. Just need to get lucky and have all the cards fall together at the right time.

I believe people wouldn't like to be around me if I harvested either one of those "Did I show pictures of my buck I killed", would probably get old to some. But what some dandy trophies.
