A very good point. I find it hard to believe all the folks saying they only by made in America hunting items own only Reconyx cameras. Made in China doesn't automatically mean knockoff, cheaply made, etc.

As far as knockoffs, I have seen some knockoff Wildgame and bushnell cameras on Ebay, for as little as $20 brand new. A buddy of mine bough 25 of the knock off Wildgame's last year, and last I checked only 10 of them still work. Not sure what he was thinking buying a knockoff of an already junk product IMO.

100% agree with this. Some products are almost impossible to find USA-made options. Although that's slowly beginning to change the reality is we do live in a global marketplace. Buying a product made outside of the US isn't inherently a bad thing - so long as it's not a counterfeit.

Are you kidding? Look at my avatar pic, I'm sitting on a Suzuki ATV (a knockoff of a real atv), with my old Weimaraner (a knockoff of a real bird dog) and I'm dressed in Walmart camo (knockoff of real legit camo). At this point I'm not even sure I'm legitimate or I was made in the USA...I'll buy anything.

Disclaimer: Yes this post was entirely made in jest... I don't buy real knockoff crap if I can help it.

Some actual businesses have accounts on Amazon...one that comes to mind is Evercalm that I've bought through them that way.

I'd definitely say be careful about buying scent products online. This is what happened to me on the way into my deer stand last year after applying doe scent to my boots.

I`m assuming you are referring to my post as I was one that mentioned made in the USA. I stated that I TRY to purchase equipment 100% made in the USA, not that I exclusively buy made the USA. We all know, that is probably impossible, but where I can I do within my resources. If others did the same it would encourage companies to move the manufacturing back here.

You`re right Justin it is slowly changing which is good for the USA and is why I try to purchase equipment made here. We all know that isn`t always possible. I believe if more folks did this it would encourage companies to move manufacturing back here. I think the families affected by the outsourcing of the manufacturing jobs might disagree with "isn`t inherently bad" statement.

It`s eye opening how many things floating around the market place are counterfeit.
