How about a quick tutorial on how to make some of these for my stands? Maybe a pictorial would be a good sticky on this site.

    Kyle,

Glad to hear that you are OK. You are very lucky to say the least. My son, Chase (Xtreme 16) and myself wish you a full and speedy recover. Please let us know if you need anything.

Don't feel like you were preaching...it's a story we all need to hear. Your story may just have saved a number of people having to experience what you went through or maybe their families having to hear about and experience something much worse.

Chase and I were just talking last weekend about our HSS that we use and how much better/safer we feel each and every time we are in the tree stand. Most of our stands have the life lines attached. All will have them attached in the very near future. I know they sell them at Walmart where we live. I'm sure they sell them at most or many of the others as well. What they cost is really a small amount to pay considering what the costs are if you don't. I couldn't imagine my son or myself not making it home ever again or never being able to pull back a bow while sitting up in a tree stand.

Thanks for the reminder for everybody to take to heart.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone. I'm glad i shared my story after reading many people took it as a reminder that safety shouldn't be overlooked. Looking back, the lifeline system would've been a very cheap, preventative measure compared to the medical bills.

But my outlook is good. No surgery needed at this point and hopefully with a little luck i can get back out there for the end of the season. Good luck the rest of the season everyone!!!
