Just finishing things up at the office before heading out of town for the weekend and get a call from my sister saying I may want to wait for a bit before taking off. She was on the way to the hospital with my dad. He hasn't been feeling well the last couple days and didn't sleep at all last night with discomfort in his chest. About 10 years ago my dad pushed off going to the doctor for a good week, blowing off his chest pains. When he finally went in, he was told that he was having a heart attack. Well, because of waiting for so long to go in, the amount of damage that was done to his heart has left him with only 1/2 of his heart. The other half is pretty much dead muscle. So, when he called the doctor this morning he was told to hang up and call 911. Of course, he didn't, called my sister that lives fairly close...and she took him in. I was told to just hang out and wait to hear...for it could be nothing. That is what I am hoping for! It is so hard to just sit and wait!
