Sounds like your aunt is part of the glue that holds your family together. I am praying that she makes a complete and full recovery. Blessings.....Pastorjim
Thanks guys, the POWER of PRAYER is a great and wonderful thing. Today they were able to drop her vent settings yet again to what would be near normal in efforts to get her nearly ready to come off of the ventilator. She still has a long and tough path to travel, but she IS improving, and her spirits are on the up and up.
Great news Doug, I am late to this thread, yet very happy to hear she is doing so much better. God Bless.
Guys, today was a GOOD DAY!!! They were able to do weaning trials and determined that my Aunt should do well if she were to be extubated (have the breathing tube removed), and they extubated her and she did very well. She's currently on NO meds to keep her blood pressure up, breathing on her own, and though she still needs surgery to remove her Gall Bladder and she's still intermittently requiring dialysis, she's doing very well for a lady that was at "death's doorstep" last Monday. We greatly appreciate those who've sent up prayers for her, and hope we can keep 'em coming to get her completely recovered and back home again soon. The power of PRAYER is an amazing thing. GOD IS GREAT, and too often I think I've forgotten that. I've missed out on the last 2 weeks of deer season here, and this will be my first season in a VERY long time that I'm an "O-fer," however I feel very blessed as there are many great things around me.
