Never have seen this before and was wondering if it was a address or code for the electric company? Looking to hook up electrical soon and am hoping someone can tell me what this is.
I believe it's an old way of identifying the pole location for the power company. Most times, it's on an individual plate with all the numbers on it these days, but there were many different ways the power companies used to identify their pole locations.
Thanks! I was assuming it was some type of ID just wasn't sure if it was for the land, or the pole itself. Now to call the power company and see if these numbers are useful when setting up a date to have a box put in!
yep, identifies that specific pole, if all the #'s are there ? newer ones are all on one tag i've seen it called in by electric co. employees and also fire/rescue/police during accidents or downed wires. helps the electric co. dispatch a repair crew to that pole/location
So it is basically and address? or at least the power company, assuming the numbers are all there, should have it on file maybe?
