Hard telling, but he they both have short brows. The only thing I see that leads me to believe different buck is the g2 on the deer's right side getting shorter.

    Who's film?

    That was our film, dummy.

Look at the faint double throat patch, then tell me what you think.

Not sure, I'm not that good at judging. Looks like it could be. But for a buck to grown that much in one year seems to be a lot. I guess it's possible though!

    Sheesh, sorry Betty!

Nice catch.....didn't look at the throat patch. Also looks like he has a little blonde in his forehead.

They look to be very similar to me...and now that you mentioned the throat patch, I have to say yes.

The throat patch tells me yes,

The right antler, with the shorter G-2 tells me no

I can't really tell by the rack, but would say yes going by the double throat patch.

His nose really shortened over a one year period, or is that just his neck getting that much bigger?

That throat patch is damning. I found the radical change in the brow tines interesting though. Maybe they're brothers.

He grew more antler on that right side though. I've seen this happen numerous times when a deer grows more points on one side the next year in young deer. It always seems to be their G-2's that suffer.

I say for sure a yes on that being the same deer.

After pointing out the double throat patch I'd say yes. It is offset to the left side of the deer's throat and the same size in both pics. It would be very unusual to see two buck in the same are with that trait in that much detail.
