    A 6 year old on a work site with a wood chipper. The father is a fool. Obviously he has the business as the article stated.... he has to have seen the possibilities around such equipment. Truly sad deal... but the father is a fool.

    Absolutely horrible and I agree he shouldnt of been any where near it. I own a landscape company and rent them here and there. I am uncomfortable around them they are dangerous, too many things could go wrong to injure someone. I don't even let my workers near the chipper and they are all over 21!!!!

    That is absolutely terrible. My heart goes out to his family. I couldn't even begin to imagine how I would react if that was one of my kids.

    Makes us all step back and reassess what we do while the kids are around. Simple things can turn bad in a heartbeat. I doubt it was the first stick that poor child had put in the chipper. Doesn't make it less dangerous or ok that the kid was there doing that, but we've all done things that we realize after that could have been bad, this dad just paid the unthinkable price.

    This. I couldn't imagine living with it. Fool or not, I feel terrible for them.
