Not sure what to make of the article when the author believes the reestablishment of the wolves in Wisconsin happened naturally. In 2016 we may need to relearn why wolves and cougars were hunted till removal from many areas in the midwest.

Cougars, heck, we dont even have coyotes here on Long Island. Ive been hunting upstate more where its more "wild". Long Island is great but just not enough wooded areas and way too many people.

Why do people use Durkin, if he's such a SA. Legit question...I don't know.

I haven't done any research on this topic, and I have no idea what the real story is on how many big cats are roaming the midwest. What I can tell you is that I check behind me a lot more often in recent years when walking the woods in the dark than I ever did before. Probably a little paranoid, and I try to brush it off as impossible, but the thought seems to sneak its way into my mind one way or another.
