Cotton tail tournaments

    I was wondering if rabbit hunting tournaments are as popular in other parts of the state/ country as they are here in central Wisconsin. It seems every weekend there is a bar holding a rabbit hunting tournament in the are that i live. Winners can sometimes make 100 buck a person. A lot of trapping goes on the night before though I believe.

    There is one here in Western New York per year, that I know of. they give a prize for the heaviest single rabbit and heaviest bag total (6 Bunny limit). Are there a lot of bunnies in WI?

    There is a big squirrel contest that goes once a year here.

    I have never heard of one before. We have a local squirrel tournament once a year also.

    Pat, the Cataract Sportsmens Club held one 2 weeks ago. Quite a few out of towners were in attendance at the Mill Pond Sat night!
