Paid $400 for my last shoulder pedestal and that included sending the rack off to be freeze dried (velvet).

For $650 I'd buy a complete week of hunting out west and boil the skull out myself.... heck, thats my plan from now on even for the $400 mark.

My mounts cost me $475. Pheasants are $175 around here, coons and coyotes are $650

And I am sure you support your local taxidermist! You've put down some great deer over the years! :)

Locally I could get it done in the 350-450 range, but I was not impressed at any of their work that I'd seen. I ended up driving my 2008 buck down to The Cities and paying $650.

I'd do it again in a heart beat! My mount will last longer than I will :tu:

Ranges from 250 to 500 around here, we've got one mounted for 475 and one for 300. Can't tell to much of a difference between them ( except one scores 199 and the other 112 ;) )

My last one from 08 was 850 out the door I believe. You get what you pay for and I wouldn't hesitate to use the guy again. There are other locals that will do them for as little as 300...but they don't look as good as mine. Just personal preference I suppose.

image.jpg buddy of mine cuts me a pretty sweet deal. Most guys on average will charge 450-550 for a shoulder mount around here

In 2009 i payed either 425,450 or 475 for my mount. It was the lowest price i have seen near NYC and he did a great job. The only thing is that, i wouldn't go to him for anything other then a deer mount.

Where was this lady located? There is a lady who did three of my mounts in town and she does em for $325 plus she does a repeat customer discount.
I took my most recent mount to my buddy who is a half-time taxidermist but he does absolutely tremendous work. I'm doing a pedestal mount so the price is going to fluctuate depending what other things we need to do to it. Should be under $350 tho

I was charged 400.00 this year. This is my first time using him myself. My friend has used him for every shoulder mount he has ever had done. The work is extremely top notch and at a very good price. Not that price would matter. If the guy charged 600.00 I would still use him. He is relatively small and focuses mainly on whitetails. Turn around time is about a year. Located by Demotte Indiana if anyone is interested.

Thanks, he grossed 180" on the nose. The pedestal was separate, but was free because my stepdad built it for me. The deer actually rotates 360.

Just curious as I've never really looked at a pedestal mount up close. Did you convert a standard shoulder mount to a pedestal mount? I'm not sure how much difference there is in the back plate between a wall and pedestal mount for balance as whatnot.
