They've been cutting corn around here to the point that the elevators were all backed up with trucks and trailers. Beans are dropping leaves too.

    Way different from last year.

I kind of hate when they cut the corn. Makes my property all naked feeling. When it's up, it's my privacy fence.

We have been rolling for the last 3 days. Looks like it might be a normal hunting season. Just hope the rain holds out this year to get it all out in time.

There were some in the fields early last week, but it seems like most everyone is getting it out now

Personally I would like it stay up well into hunting season. It seemed like it really helped me last year after I learned a few tricks, but it's better for the farmers this year.

I noticed the corn coming down last week here in central IL. It should be a great year. Best wishes to all.

picking some cylage corn, but the rest will be coming out very soon i'm sure; this has to be some kind of early harvest record! Either way things are going to be rolling faster than usual which means less cover for early season hunting; oh yaaaaa! I can't wait for the opener! oct. 1st here I come...

    Corn coming down

In NC, there has been more corn picked by September 1st this year than I have ever seen. I would be willing to say here in Duplin County, 75% of corn has been picked. A large portion of that was done in late August. We have never seen this much picked so early. That is the prominent crop around here this year so we will just have to wait and see how it plays out during the season. Speaking of the season, our bow seasons starts Saturday!! I am so ready

Coming back from vacation on the 26th we saw the first few combines start hitting the fields. This week every one around here has gotten into the fields. They're starting beans here too, now.

Corn is coming down here in NW Mo too. Not a lot of places but some. Beans are still pretty green and lush however.

Everything by me in Wi is drying up nicely. Beans are turning yellow and some corn is being chopped. No corn that I know of is being combined for shell corn yet.

Combining already? There's some corn getting picked that's going for corn silage for the dairy farmers around here. Beans always come 1st here and then usually 2 weeks later at the least corn comes out. Stuffs on schedule around here with bumper crops In the forecast. It will be mid October before Corn goes.

Steve, we haven't had hardly ANY rain to speak of most of the summer...

It's all burned up; might as well go ahead and take it out. :)

We had tons of rain. I think they said it was like the sixth wettest summer up here. Neener, neeener. :)

There's a lot of stunted corn because of it.

For some reason I thought you guys were getting hammered with rain this year. No rain will do just that, speed up the harvest date.
