I don't know how many people use bags of corn on here and I wasn't going to this season as I did last season but, I may not be able to get my fall food plots in this year or kill plots so I may end up making some trough type feeders and use corn. Anyways, I picked up a bag from Tractor supply last month to see if there were deer coming through an area. The bag was a 50lb bag and was $9.50. I diid think much of it considering they are usually higher on cost anyways. I was in the gas station that starts carying corn about this time of year yesterday and it was the same price. Last season it was $7.00 a bag. I guess gas and diesle prices have made an effect on everything. Has anyone else noticed this spike?

The farmer whose land I always hunt on plants hundreds and hundreds of acres in front of my stand... I'm not ever really sure what it costs him to do it though.

I have a feeder, but haven't used it this year due to price of corn. It was cheaper for me to put in a food plot then to put out the corn all season.

Its estimated by the end of the year that corn will go up to almost $18/bag. Gas and weather conditions this year are making a huge impact on corn.

Luckily we help a guy work his farm and he gives us the corn for free.

When I was home earlier this year my dad and I disscused what we were going to have to sell our corn for and we had to settle at $8.50 50lbs bag. We sold the bags last year at $6.50.

The rise In the corn and bean price has nothing to do with the high gas and diesel prices. Right now corn Is at an all time high and I believe It will go even higher. The last couple years have been good years to be crop farmers If they didn't contract their corn or beans. If you know any farmers In the area ask them If you can clean up the piles that they sometimes spill.

The local feed store here is 12.00 dollars for Corn.
The price has caused me to change the settings on my feeder.

bout $10 a bag here in sporting good stores. Its cheaper to buy it from a private person than buying it from a chain store.

Farmers are getting very high price for the corn that they sell right now. I've seen it around here for $10 for a 40lb bag. Last year the guy that farms our land spilled some corn on the ground, so I filled up three barrels full of it.
