So I put the new rest on my bow and didn't notice it at first, but it must be different lighting, but when I shoot I see my Fletching spin around during flight but still shoot a nice shot group. I even Robbin hooded yesterday. I have spun my fletching it each and every direction, cock fether up, left out, right out, down, half up, half down ext. any suggestions.
- Sometimes the mixed colors of fletching gives the illusion of spinning. - Your rest needs to be move up or down & left or right. Many other reasons: spine issue, fletching contact, untrue BH, bow torque, bow issue.
Spline is good. same arrows that I bought the bow w/ and we paper tuned w/ whisker biskute and its was good. i never had this issue w/ the whisker biscute. so I'm thinking it may be something w/ the drop away contact. im just using feild points for now but it did do it w/ my broadhead as well.
I think you're good on spine as well. 1. Check for fletching contact. You can typically tell on the forks of the rest and sometimes the vanes of the quickfletch. If it isnt obvious use some foot spray powder, don't worry, it washes off very easy. 2. The vanes are just barely grabbing your cable. Nock an arrow, bring your rest up and push the arrow forward at the nocking point, this will tell you pretty quick if it's hitting. I always shoot with 1 vane up, the other 2 will make the upside down V off the one on the top. I shot a ripcord for a couple years and it's a great rest, one of the best IMO.
To make sure i know what your talking about on the cable deal? the cable on my bow?? or the draw cable on the Rest? sorry im just a little confused on that one. Tomorrow I will test the foot powder deal. just spray it on all over the rest right?
