I'm trying to settle on a new pack this year and it seems the options are either some hundred count denier Cordura/Canvas blend, or Ripstop nylon, or Brushed "Silent" packs.
    What is your preferred material?

Don't overthink this. If you're sitting in a tree most of the day for deer, and have a pack hanging there, does it need to be silent?

If you're spot and stalking or hauling heavy loads (elk, moose), it may be factor...but you may be looking for other features over materials like comfort, volume, overall weight, construction...

Having said that, my backpack and day pack is a mix of materials, but cost was my key factor.

My next pack will be more for weight/comfort...
