coons vs. deer

    on one of my cameras I have noticed that the deer are never around while coons are around. Are deer scared of coons? Or is it just coincidence?

    I get pics of deer satnding back from the feeder when coons are there but once the velvet is off bucks will push coons off a feeder

    The coons in my area tend to be a little noisy but they just spook the deer a little bit. I have gotten plenty of pics with both deer and coons in the frame
