Recently got a new property to hunt and put up a “bump feeder,” in the hopes of taking some inventory. Put a cam out with the feeder last week and left it for about 4 days. Well I went back today to hang a stand which was an opportune time with the incoming rain and while there swapped cards. No deer yet… to my amazement, but I do have a very happy family of coons that have found the feeder. At first it was just one every now and then, but this morning a whole gang showed up. I think once the crops are cut the deer will move more towards the woods, or at least that’s my hope.
Me too. I dont think I can pack the .22 to the stand with me while hunting, but I dont see any regs against the ol daisy or my sling shot.
