I agree. Look what Randy Moss did in college (besides beat up white kids and smoke pot). If he would have kept up that work ethic (which was present in Minnesota, especially his rookie year), he would have KILLED Jerry Rice's records. He still has a chance ;)

Money changes everything, but thats obvious.

One thing that i always say though....college kids are only playing 100% so that they can get the paycheck in the future...agree?

I can't take you seriously because of your blindness towards baseball.

The Jordan/Pippen duo was the last memorable thing to happen in the NBA. Maybe Shaq/Kobe, but not quite because of drama. The days of magic, jabar, worthy or Bird, Parrish, Ainge, Mchale or Thomas/Lambier etc... are long gone and not coming back anytime soon.

Disagree, wholeheartedly. These kids are playing 100% because they love the game. They're not (yet....and in most instances) bigger than the game they're playing.

Hooker......I can't take you seriously, because you don't know baseball. Every pitch has a purpose. Every pitch, there's a defensive play in place. If I didn't know the game, I'd think it was boring, too.

Maybe I don't know basketball any better than you know baseball. But I know I see different games played, when I watch HS, college....and NBA. Big turn-off.

    **Edit....I've been on-hand at +/- 100 NBA games.

Thats like watching MLB players hit homeruns in a Little League park. The novelty ends when EVERYONE can do it.:D

I guess you haven't noticed what Lebron has been doing this year in the league, eh?

You're right. I don't know baseball. But you don't know basketball either. Every play, there are 5 different defensive and offensive plays in place.

Again, I can say the same thing about baseball.

No we haven't and that should tell you something right there. The fan base for the NBA is probably just a little bit above it's all time low.

    "One and done"

That's all i have to say. Kills college basketball. End of story.

And now in College football, its rare that a top end player plays for all 4 years because its not "financially smart".

Loves the game my ass. Loves the future paycheck more like it.

So this whole thread is based off of pure ignorance then?

Why would I want to pay attention to the NBA? It's pretty much Lebron and Kobe. After that what am I watching for? Maybe Pierce and what the Celtics are doing? That's IT! It ends there. There's no races anybody cares about. Not enough superstars or household names. Maybe there are somewhere waiting in the wings, but never surface or mean anything in a watered down slow boring league. I'll watch the daily highlights of Lebrons dunks or Kobes buzzer beaters. After that?...........................

Do you have any idea what the percentage of college student-athletes is.......that go on to play their sport, professionally?

"Ignorance"? I've been to WAYYyyy more NBA games.....than I have MLB games. I've been to several MLB games....and probably more than 100 professional baseball games. I've also played in WAYYYyyy more baseball games than most (posting in this thread).

    Explain "ignorance"?

    Agreed!

I can honeslty say that I probably couldn't name 10 NBA players. In the early 90's I could probably come close to naming every teams starting 5. The NBA is about as big of joke as the NFL Pro Bowl.

Like I said, this is all coming from your ignorance concerning the NBA.

I feel the same about hockey and baseball, but I don't bash them. I just don't care, and I don't watch them.

From ages 8 -19 I played in over 400 baseball games. 3 years in a row I played on 4 different teams. H.S., Babe Ruth League, Babe Ruth All Star Team, and American Legion.
