There is not any way in hell a 100'' Buck and a Doe should equal a 150" buck, especially a dumber than dirt button buck "Doe".
I won't know if I need to shoot a Doe till I get to Kansas and start looking around next week, I can tell you this, I wont be shooting one just to get 50 points for the contest.

Good. That's the perfect attitude. And I won't be holding out for a bigger buck just for the contest either.

The point being......Shoot whatever deer makes each person happy. Contest be damned. But just to take the other side of the coin............Your example suggests that a 150" buck should be worth more because he is "smarter?" If that's the case, that's precisely the peer pressure I referred to in my previous post.

I somewhat agree with that as well but what are you going to do? It could be said too that a 80" buck and a doe shouldn't equal a 130" buck either.

But how else can does be counted other than a blanket # .

BB and doe fawns should not be counted the same as a 5.5 year old doe but, we wouldn't want to leave anyone out that's shooting a yearling doe right?

Maybe 25 points for 1.5 year old doe and under and 50 for a 2.5 year old and older?

Disclaimer: Just helping Germ play the other side. [IMG]

Hell, we got several on here that say the ones with no teeth are the biggest trophys, lets be the first to have a contest and the one with the most worn or less teeth get the most points. There will be bowhunters pouring in here to enter. LOL!

7 does, now that is pretty impressive. It's all about location. I need to hunt in a doe location county in MI. My DMU blows.

How much for a Pronghorn? Let's not discriminate against America's Speed Goats!

"Now class, don't worry if you get an "A" or an "F", you are all winners in my book. And when some of you go out for the baasketball team, don't even worry about scoring a point in the game. If you get too serious about scoring points, that means you are some ultra-aggressive competition hungry competitor. In fact, if you make just one free throw, I will count it as much as a three pointer."

Cornhole matches are FAR more serious & intense than bowhunting contests.
