All the paper is telling you is that you've got your rest out of adjustment to correct for whatever problem you have. Since it's a LH rig my first look would be at whether you're grabbing the bow at the shot or keeping a relaxed hand and letting the bow fall out of it (against your wrist sling of course).

I am guessing you use vanes. Are they blazers or some other short, high profile or a they a 4" vane? What I am thinking is that if they are put on with a helical and an offset they may be hitting those brushes on the way through and that is causing the wear. Do you notice any wear on the vanes? You could always put a light coat of something (lipstick or something like it) on the vanes and see if it leaves any residue on the brushes.

My hostage looked the exact same way so I put my Trophy Taker back on.
I am interested in the responses because I would like to shoot the Hostage. I just don't know if it will withstand constant shooting.

But you have to wonder that what ever is causing the uneven wear is also affecting optimum arrow flight somehow.

Lipstick is a horrible idea. Use something that isn't so difficult to get off of your shafts.

Maybe like charcoal sticks for art? IDK...

I guess it is safe to assume that you have actually tried the lipstick on your vanes and found it hartd to get off?

well fellas , i threw some new brushes on this thing and figured out that ive been torqueing it BAD to the left from the day i got it. stopped at the shop today and after an hour of my local pro shop buddy watchin me shoot and fiddling around with lazers and everything else, alas shes shootin better now thatn it did out of the box ! when i bought it i told him not to worry about setting it up , "this was the first bow ive ever setup", apparently ive got some stuff to learn ! if i would have thought simply in the beginning before goin through all this b.s. i would have realized all i had to do was hold it straight out ahead of me in my bow hand, and see my sight was about 1/4 -3/8 to the right of "dead center" with my string and arrow ! undoughtedly this is what caused the crazy uneven wear. Every time i think ive got things dialed in it seems i forget some trivial basic thing that bites me later. oh well thats half the fun i guess ! thanks for all the advice guys !
