I have a Spot Hog Hunter 7 Pin and it works great, I guess I'm falling prey to the latest and greatest bug. So before I sink a few more 100 dollar bills into my bow if you have this site let me know if you've had issues and once its set does it hold its accuracy well when removed for travel. And I don't have to have a Spot Hog if someone knows a better alternative. Thanks in advance for any input.
Rogue, I like the way the Hogg Fathers dovetail mount lets me have a long sight radius, and how I can incrementally dial-in my yardages. The more I shoot with it the more I can't imagine using anything else. The Hogg Fathers 2nd and 3rd axis adjustments are easy to use, and you can use sight housings that aren't made by Spot Hogg. I saw this vid on YouTube of a guy from Russia using a HHA single-pin housing on his Hogg Father. It's an expensive sight compared to others, but it's totally worth it IMO.
The Spot Hogg Hogg Father is a good sight. I just don't like having to reach up front to adjust. Its is solid and if you wounded something you could finish it off with your sight and not impact your zero I would not expect. If you have not already I would also look at the HHA DS-5519 or something in the HHA line for a little less bucks.
Copperhead speaks the true true. The HHA DS-5519 is an awesome sight and you should expect about twenty guys, if not more, to post that it's their favourite.
I love the Hogg father, it's been a great sight for me. I have a feeling I'll be sticking with it for a long time.
