I am from Mass and pretty serious bowhunter. Mass numbers are not very high but there are some quality bucks if you spend time afield. I am looking to hop in northern connecticut for the early part of the season (sept, oct), with hopes of maybe taking a little freezer meat. Has anyone hunted the state lands and what are the odds of getting a crack at a deer on them in the early season?
