Well, it started of being a rough day but things got better. I am not real happy with my shot to say the least, I was a full draw for 2-3 minutes with an 82# bow. The shot went high, real high and I put the arrow right through his spine and dropped him in his tracks. I had to put a second shot through the lungs. He is at least a 4.5-5.5 year old and I think he is the 9 point I passed last year. Here are a few pics, I'll try to post more later on this hunt. Big thanks to Mechdoc for coming out and helping me this morning, I had a rough night and was up fighting until 12 with my wife because I am leaving for Brown County tomorrow morning. I have rough scored him around 135-137".
It was me Greg, but it isn't the two 10's we have been targeting as he is about 10" smaller. This dude was a nine pointer last year and had a little more bone and I passed him. I took him out because he is getting older and I wanted to take out the neighborhood bully.
Congrats! He's a fine buck. Taking out the neighborhood bully is a good thing to do, especially if there are better bucks around. I found myself contemplating this yesterday when I watched a relatively small racked 8 pointer with a bull of a body chase off two other contenders that were genetically superior to him and then breed a doe, 9 yards from my stand. It's real hard for me to do since I only get 1 buck tag for $450+
