No one had to defend their decision when they performed at the Obama inauguration but I guess there just happens to be a double standard. It's like the owner of LL Bean donating to Trump and the liberal bunch mobilizing to boycott LL Bean. What about boycotting Progressive insurance because George Soros owns it.
Progressive just sounds so..... progressive. I try and give my money to companies that somewhat resemble my beliefs and progressive certainly isn't one of them.
I don't think people have a problem with LL bean giving trump money as much as they did with Trump then tweeting about it and saying that people should buy their product. Im sure you don't see whats wrong with that, but that's what make you a Trump voter.
So when rich people don't pay taxes and get all these benefits they are smart, but when poor people do it they are like the scum of the earth? K, got it. Who do you think has to make up for the super rich not paying taxes? Its the same people who have to make up for the poor not paying taxes and receiving benefits. So, why only gripe about one side? And believe me Im against ANYONE in the top 1% using bs tax loopholes to avoid paying anything at all in taxes, not just Trump.
You're joking about the infowars thing right? The internet is going to be eliminated? You know Trump gets to name the head of the FCC right?
Ask the people that gave money to oppose the gay marriage issue in California. They had to resign from their own companies because of the extreme intolerance of the "enlightened" few. I have big problems with the President elect pushing/endorsing any company just as much as I have issues with the current President supporting specific industries that comply with his religion (ie: solar)
Oh I didn't realize that Obama personally tweeted in favor of a company that actively gives him money. When did this happen?
Well he did say anyone. Wasn't really that hard to comprehend. If you work and can manage to play the game to your advantage, more power to you. In what world do you feel it's right for someone to lay claim to 60% of your earnings? Let me guess, you also believe in the gender wage gap?
There is a difference in playing within the law and gaming the system. If someone works and pays in to the system, then they have every right to get back all that they can. You seem to be directing your comments more towards those that know the system and how to get a lot for nothing. That I have a problem with.
Careful what words you attempt to put in my mouth. I grew up poor, dirt poor, food pantry poor. A few years ago I had a really bad year, lost my job, lost our home, stayed in hotels when I managed to find what work was out there, stayed with friends with my family in tow. So don't speak to me about the poor. Not once did I blame anyone, cry that someone should help me. No I fn clawed and scraped, worked what ever I could. Still managed to hold a family together. That next year when I was back on my feet and I filed my taxes, I'll have you know that I made a sixth of what I did normal years, but my tax return was 3x high than my normal years. Explain how that makes any sense.
I think you are misinformed. There was a movement by a group to boycott LL Bean prior to the Trump tweet so there was people which did have a problem with someone exercising their legal right to campaign finance. That intolerance is kind of hypocritical when you preach tolerance and allowing different points of view. I did vote for Trump because the alternative was a worse selection in my opinion. I had a lot of reservations about Trump but I think that his plan moving forward was better than what HRC offered. You obviously have a different view and I respect that. How is that for tolerance.
I find it entertaining and frustrating with the liberals behavior and the boycott of the inauguration. For all the frustrated libs get over it the next 4 years is going to be painful for them the deficit needs to be dealt with and many of the entitlement programs are going to axed.
On the other hand the libs may have been told it is a cash bar at the parties rather than free drinks for elected politicians.
I would agree with the "get over it" I had to get over it when Obama was elected --- TWICE!!! ----, nobody offered me a safe zone, nor said I didn't have to go to work or get counseling nor did I expect any. I just don't get this society today that gets offended so easily, is always the victim and never responsible for their own actions. On the other hand I also agree that the deficit needs to be dealt with and entitlements are something that has to be looked at as it is such a huge part of the budget I just don't think that Trump is the fiscal conservative that will lead that charge.
