Yes nothing like taking the debate to the next level...like in moving it to Mars. Let's equate condoms to forced sterilization. Count me in I am all for it. Where are my forceps? ...
I mean...if you want to be equate this argument to being pro small government, send your kids to private school then.
I'm not against the government, and I'm not against the school system. I just want them to operate within the parameters they were intended.
I'm not a temporary kind a guy! I say do a means test and if you don't make the grade ...out comes the snippers!! Now there is some long term cost savings!
No. I have a teaching degree w. a health certification. Teaching kids about sex and it's consequences is an important part of educating. I think the morality of having sex or not, should be left out of the schools curriculum. I don't even believe the schools should teach abstinence as that is pushing morals. They should refer the kids to their parents for advice and guidance.
Ok... So why again are you so against the schools providing a student a condom if requested? The school itself is being neutral, just as the guy working behind the cashier at the corner store is being neutral. One is just free.
I don't feel it's their place, Providing an education is their place. Lets say they are providing them, and as I parent I go in and ask if my child is taking the condoms. I guarantee you the school would not tell me and I have a problem with that. They should have no right to provide anything to my child without my knowledge.
Last time I checked, kids went to school to get an education, and to the store to get the products the need. Not the other way around.
I agree that if you ask that they should tell you. But in that case, it would be incredibly more troubling to me that my child was too afraid to tell me that they were sexually active and that they went elsewhere for guidance.
Yes they will get a great education when they are knocked up and after sitting home with a baby. Most likely with all of us paying for it ....
If condoms are fine lets hand out bibles, abortion literature, hard rock cds, bowhunting stickers, syringes, etc. None of it is illegal and why does it bother you? Its just going to be sitting on the desks in case they need it. If they want the information or stuff they will go buy or look for it anyway. Why we are at it, hell lets have morning after pills on the desks too, maybe some mary jane if they have headaches? It's not illegal and who are you to complain?
