I carry everyday. Either my LC9 in a Crosbreed Supertuck or my LCP in a DeSantis pocket holster.

I sure do love my Rugers. :)

Yes, it goes away. When I started carrying I felt like EVERYONE knew and I was terribly self aware. How I got over that quickly was to carry in normal every day family settings. This way if I was obvious it was my family so they would point it out without hesitation and there would be no consequences as if in public or at work. After no one noticed ever, I realized it was all in my imagination and no one notices because no one is ever actually looking that close. If you get made you are OBVIOUS or you bumped into someone who felt it.

You feel like everyone is watching you but the truth is no one is.

Anybody know anything about the Hi-Point line? Just noticed a local dealer has them for $150 9mm, thought I might pick up a couple for other vehicles.

I have a Hi Point in .380 . It's pretty acurate for what it is, a really cheap gun. We don't have CC here yet, but I don't think I'd carry mine. It's heavy!

I WOULD NOT TRUST MY LIFE TO A HI-POINT!!!!!!!!! I have had one and know of a couple friends who have purchased them everyone of us has had problems. Primarily with them jamming up, one guy I know had the slide on his 40 break and come flying off. I would never want to be caught in a gunfight with a firearm that I couldn't trust. The price is tempting I know, but is your life or that of your family worth the few extra bucks.

Never had an issue with ball ammo in any I've shot or friend's have shot. I don't personally own one, but if I did it'd be all ball ammo all the time.

A buddy of mine had a high point 9mm... He had jamming and fail to feed issues the first 400-500 rounds. After that he never really had any issues and he shot it quite a bit.

Seems they may be a tough to break in?

Reviews online for the HP range from nice cheap gun to pure junk. I'll pass on it for now, thanks for the responses.

I have similar mindset although I've never had an issue with any I've used. From what I've experienced and friends have with "cheaper" guns is that if you're one to break in a gun, keep it clean and lubed, take care of it as you should 9 times out of 10 any gun made by anybody will run fine for that type of gun owner.

I was runnin ball ammo and IMO I shouldnt have to run 400-500 rds through a gun to "break it in" in order for it to function properly. I own many other firearms mostly high end but a few lower end (adams arms, jennings) and I have never had to break in any of my other weapons. AGAIN just my 2cents

I completely agree...one of the reasons I don't own one (other big one is hate just their feel grip/and grip angle wise).

Rossi 5-shot .38 special with self defense ammo sees most days. Also have a Jennings .22 pocket pistol as a backup. If I leave the house, I am carrying.
