S&W M&P .40 compact. If in Detroit going to get bread and milk I suggest nothing less than a 1911.

I think I'm the only one who actually carries a revolver as my main choice. Rossi .38 special. [IMG]

I carry the little Ruger LCP most days. It is easy to conceal and doesn't weigh 2 lbs, plus I can point and shoot it quickly. On other days where I feel I need or want to pack a little more heat, I carry my service weapon.

Nope, You're not alone. I posted earlier that I carry a Ladysmith, .357 magnum. Five round cylinder.

My husband insisted that my carry gun be a revolver for all the reasons with which everyone is familiar.

99% of the time I am sporting my Rock Island Armory Tactical 1911... Every so often I will switch up and ride with my Glock 23 but more times than not its my 1911 riding with me

Jason - have you shot the XDS yet? Is it a handful? Can you consistently do double taps in a reasonable group at say 10 yards? I've never shot a 45 in something that small.

Glock 30 .45ACP 10+1 with grip extender. I was looking for a smaller concealed carry gun and I got it for $300 when a guy bought it, kept it for 5 days and brought it back.

I sport a Ruger GP100 in the field. I think my next handgun purchase will be a Sig Saur P227 in .45 acp. 10+1 without a mag extension!

It depends on what I'm doing. Normal carry is a Glock 19, I also have an M&P 40 fullsize(which I hate) and a Glock 20 for when I go bear hunting.

Not trying to steal this thread, but how do you guys like your M&Ps? I have had 6 people shoot my M&P 40 and it is consistently off. It always shoots high and left. The shooters are very experienced so its not like they were jerking the trigger or anything. I was doing some reading and it has been known that the barrels for these guns had manufacturing defects but I never got a chance to call S&W about it. I bought the gun almost 2 years ago now so I'm hoping they will still honor it. I'ma t the point I just want to sell it and buy another Glock. Never had any problems with them.

I dont know if this will help you or not but my grandfather had one that shot great at first and then started grouping all over the place....the issue was he was shooting lead nose bullets out of it which were fouling the barrel and clogging up the grooves....I stripped it and cleaned the the heck out of the grooves....told him to shoot nothing but jacketed ammo and he has not had a problem since....lead nose and semi autos have never gone together well in my experience

I am only shooting typical FMJ ammo. I have put through Speer Gold Dots(my carry ammo) and they are doing the same thing. I don't know what thats about but I guess Ill have to knuckle down and give them a call.
