After watching deliverance I conceal... never know who you're going to run into out there. Hell I'd rather take a beating like Leonardo in the revenant than be that poor bastard on deliverance. Better not do open carry bc then they'll just tell you not to reach for it... serious things to consider here guys... getting killed by a bear... that's cool legendary stuff... fulfilling hillbilly fantasies not so much... in summary go concealed

Can't carry one in CA. Against the law during archery only season.
    • (h) Except as provided in subsection 353(g) of these regulations and in Section 4370 of the Fish and Game Code, archers may not possess a firearm while hunting in the field during any archery season, or while hunting during a general season under the provisions of an archery only tag.

Yes you can own a gun if you wait 30 days and get written permission from "Jesus". Otherwise you have to be a gang banger then there is no paperwork or cool off period.

Dang! You guys are killin me! Haha! It blows honest people have to wait and gang bangers get them for half the price from their "homie" with no waiting period. And while you can't carry a firearm during archery season, the info below takes the cake.... Yep California liberal voters decided this:

In the statewide general election of November 2014, California voters approved Proposition 47 (“Prop 47”), commonly known as the “Safe Neighborhood and Schools Act.” It changed existing sentencing laws and reclassified a wide range of crimes from a felony to a misdemeanor.

One notable change in gun laws means shorter prison sentences, in certain instances, for the serious crime of possession of stolen firearms. Under Prop 47, the penalty for possession of a stolen firearm worth $950 or less, as many handguns are, is reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor. What used to be a sentence of up to three years in prison has been reduced to a maximum of just 12 months.

Notice how they hide the details naming the bill "Save Neighborhood and Schools Act". Nothing really made schools safer, just made the punishments for criminals lighter. Most people don't read into all the bills and just look at the title saying, "oh ya, that sounds good". I can't wait to move out of this state!

Not to mention paying millions out of court for police actions. Where the police were found justified in their actions. It seems you hear it on the news everyday.

I carry while archery hunting. I also carry most all the time. I worry more about the idiots on two feet than four.

Can't carry while hunting in Il (even with a CCW) unless it's during firearms season and the pistol is "legal" for harvesting the game being hunted.

Apparently, you can't tell the difference between a bullet hole and an arrow hole in Il...
