After a lot of thought and indecision about what type of scope, I finally made a decision and get the order placed. Just got it mounted last night. I ended up ordering a brand new scope from Redfield called the Battlezone. It's a 3-9X42 with MOA Reticle. Once zeroed in, you can just turn the turret to whatever distance you want to shoot out to 500 yards. I mounted it w. a Burris P.E.P.R Quick detachable mount. I may eventually add a red dot on top of the mount, but haven't decided yet. This will be my coyote gun.

Sweet gun! And congrats on finishing it! I'm still sitting on 1/2 a gun.

Looks awesome forsure. Mind if I ask how much that scope is running? Also hope you do a follow up after you play with it. I want a scope like that but many seem to complain in the reviews (people tend to just be cry babies). Looks great though either way! Can't wait to get my AR

I gave $180 for the scope and $99 for the mount. Redfield is owned by Leupold and manufacture the Revolution in the same plant side by side w. their Leupold line. I almost bought one of those, but decided to try the 223 specific Battlezone model. It is pretty much new and was introduced at the 2013 Shot Show. There is basically no info out there on it, hardly any reviews or videos. The Battlezone is manufactured in the Philippines, but so are Nikon's so I figured I'd give it a shot. So far I like it, hoping I still do once I get some rounds down range.

This is where I bought it. Free shipping and they shipped it out same day. Ordered on Tuesday, had on Thursday!

I have a Revolution on my .243 and it is a superb scope. I wouldn't be hesitant in trying a different redfield. I'm sure you'll love it.

Slick looking gun. I'm not a fan of all the bells and whistles a lot of guys put on them. I like the clean lines and it suits the purpose.

That scope and QD mount look nice together. I like the compact length scopes better than the longer traditional length scopes.

Gasp! You have an "assault" rifle and you're not going to use it for mass shootings? This can't be true!

Very nice! How do you like the PEPR mount? I've been considering it for my rig at some point....

I like it. Very easy to take on and off. Very sturdy, and I like the picatiny rail on the top. I think I need to bore sight it. Had some trouble getting it on paper today but I didn't have much time to mess with it this evening.
