For those that use lighted nocks, do you add rear weight to you practice arrows to mimic your hunting setup?

Is the 10-15 extra grains from a lighted nock even noticeable at normal hunting ranges when compared to a normal nock?

If you do add weight, what works best?

I do not and have not seen enough difference if any at all between standard nocks and nocturnals. I believe the weight difference is somewhere in the 8-10gr range. I certainly can't shoot well enough to see any difference in impact.

I used noctunal nocks. The added weight didnt seem to change my POI. I didnt add weight with my practice arrows but made sure i tested my setup for hunting

Shoot your hunting set up and see how your rig works.

I have not noticed any difference with mine. I typically practice with mine just to make sure though.

I figured that any difference would be negligible.

I was thinking the same way as you and wondered if it matters, but I never noticed much difference. I use Carbon express arrows and when I go to put the lighted nock in I remove the bulldog collar off the end to compensate for the extra weight. Don't know if it helps or not, but it makes me feel better about the extra weight on the end of the arrow.

No difference. Your only concern should be to verify that the nock fits the string similarly to your standard nocks. The weight is a non issue

This is the biggest issue, people that complain that the nock cracked or broke and when you asked them if the nock was too tight on the string.
