Pretty sure the creed is not adjustable and have no idea about the evolution.

Yeah...the Creed in not. The Evolution I can't remember for sure. I could be wrong, but I think they are.

I'm big through the chest too... That doesn't change what my draw length is, I actually have long arms for my height and a big chest/shoulders, I don't "compensate" by shooting a draw length that's way to long. Honestly I don't even know what that means ...

I will upload a bigger picture to look at and I really appreciate these things to consider. I've killed a deer and a turkey with my bow, but I might have been adjusting to improper bow setup and bad form the whole time I've been shooting.

Watched the first 2 videos so far. Great information. I just don't know how to apply this to myself. I'm kind of a hands on person and need to be shown first hand what to do then I'm good.

Thank you for posting these videos for me. Good stuff to retain

Use full length mirror and video.

Mirror will give you instant feedback and you can use the video to compare to what he is saying.

The pin and hold will tell you everything else you will need to know.

Once you get that, then you can start learning about executing good back tension shots.

You will need to forget about shooting for a while and definitely don't try to look through the peep until you get form tweaked and move peep to match. Might be a good idea to lower poundage until things become more natural.

My draw length is not 'way to long', if I were to use a kisser button the kisser button would go about 1/2" past my lips. One of those videos above show holding the hands out rotating to 45 etc. When I do this my draw length is set to as I describe. My back pulls the string to a comfortable hold. If I were to stop earlier, the angle of my arms is very uncomfortable, I am holding the string more with my arm and not my back. To get an idea what it feels like only pull to the front of your lips.

If your kisser button goes back past your mouth then yes your draw length is way to long.... It's not called a "cheeker button"... Argue all you want, I just don't understand people who ask for help then argue and refuse help when advice is given to them by people with more experience... If you don't want to change anything don't ask for advice man.

Not necessarily, alignments determine draw length along with pin float and results, not anchors.

Anchors can be be misleading as head position can change them drastically as well as how high or low you anchor.

I would argue Tony Tazza has excellent form and results would dictate his draw length is dead on.

I have no idea if Zedds draw length is long or not, sounds like it might be but we don't know for sure.

    Pic of Tazza for reference

If Dave Cousins had the same head position as Tazza, his anchor would be way back as well.

Just to be clear, I do feel that having 2 reference points on your face such as the tip of the nose and corner are best and the most repeatable for most. However, I feel there are exceptions to every rule.

Heck, even my level 4 coach teaches these but has gone to something like Tazza for his own reasons.

Lol, it never fails.... Just going by everything Zedds has said in this thread, the short time he's been involved in archery and the way he seems to counter question any advice given "even yours, gasp"... I'm seriously doubting he has the form of a Pro shooter. You can disagree all you want to with me, but if a guys hand is floating behind his head and the kisser button is back on his cheek, well something is screwed up... I know you won't agree with that since you tend to disagree with 99.9% of the stuff I say but that's my opinion and I'm sure a lot of people would agree with that.

Actually I agree with most of what you say.

Where did zedd say his hand was floating way behind his head? Did I miss that?

I just don't like giving draw length advice to people because there are so many determining factors and it's really difficult in pictures to see them all even with a trained eye and it's impossible without even a picture.

I fell into this trap and was shooting over 2" too short before a coach got me lined out over 10 years ago.

I use the Allistair videos because he goes through the proper steps for people to get where they need to be and the other person doesn't have to figure out if he knows what he is talking about.

I got that from his avatar pic I blew up on my PC... It's grainy and not very clear but to me it looks like his release hand is well behind his ear, can't tell if it's even touching his head at all .

And there is the problem. Zedd is NOT the OP. His avatar is a dog.

I thought this might be the issue as I've done it myself before.

The Op hand is and he describes issues that could be draw length related and admitted so. I do think his release is way too long and that is the first thing he needs to fix.
