Donnie, that comes with practice and experimentation. I have been shooting photographs for over 45 years and have a lot to learn. I may take 20 photos to get the one I pictured in my mind. If you click on the photo link on my signature line, you can see how far I have progressed. What camera are you using? Mark
My camera is a "superzoom", Panasonic Lumix FZ35. I bought this camera as a stepping stone working my way towards a DSLR. Kinda wish I would have went ahead with the DSLR though. Your photobucket album is set on private. I need a password. Thanks.
Here is a good DSLR to start off with. http://richmond.craigslist.org/pho/2523830574.html Although I don't know how far you are from Richmond.
Also, that rays of sunshine looks great in BW too! By varying the amount of light in photos, you can change the feeling the photo evokes.
Would love to check out your pics also IowaVeteran but need the password. I have a Cannon Rebel but haven't really used it like I would like to. Everytime I go out to take pics I never get the results I was hoping for so I haven't really spent the time to learn how to take photo's correctly with it yet.
Thanks Mark. I think I might just save up and get something else. My brother-in-law has a Canon T2i (I believe). Its pretty nice but I'm not serious about doing the research yet. When I am, I'll give you a heads up for some advice. Thanks.
Great pictures IV. Especially love all the sky, sunset photo's. I have the camera to take photo's like that just not a clue what settings to use and how to do it. Think I should really learn!
Late to the party, but I couldn't look at all of the photos from my phone the past few days since our internet was down. From a purely composition standpoint, I like 10, 17, and 18 (18 has a great subject isolation). I did play with a few that would only count as "slight" tweaks that would be great as well.
