I know this is last minute (deadline is Friday) but wanted to share with you guys what I believe are some of my better shots. I can only enter TWO. Help me out...which two do you think will give me a fighting chance? Hopefully if I win, I'll use the money to upgrade to my very first DSLR.

What are they basing the judging on? All of them are great pictures. If you get a judge that doesn't like hunting then 11 will knock you out right away even though it is a great shot. Would have been a better pic if it had a Hoyt in it instead of a Bowtech but that's alright sometimes flaws in art are what make them special!! LOL

If you don't know the judges criteria I would go with 10, 12 or 18.

I like 8 and 18 for the contest, but I like 11 as a hunter

    11) Everything is dead in the picture but has a sense of calmness
    15) You see green and then POW!! here is a bright brown deer staring at you.

Those 2 are my favorite!! Could you send me a copy of number 11 in a larger format? I would love to use this one as a
desktop background for my computers. Would really appreciate it.

Well the way I read that I think the only one you can go with are the Natural Beauty and Landscapes. I think that would rule out your bow/buck photo and possibly the deer photo depending on how the judges view that rule.

I think I would go with 18. Think it would display a beautiful shot along with some great creativity. Most people don't think to take pictures of insects and a crazy looking one at that!

Might be able to make 18 an even better shot if you can blow it up a bit more. Put more focus on the insect instead of the tree branch!

Yeah...all my photos are unedited. I might try playing around with 18 though. However, I just saw another spidey pic. Competition is tough. 10 & 12 stand out for me.

Those were the other two that I said I also like. I think all 3 of them will give you a good chance!

They are all great pics. If I had to pick two it would be #10 and #17.

    Good luck.

These 3 (slightly adjusted) are the best in my humble opinion. I like the middle one for sure. The last one is good but shows dust on the lens around the rays of light. So, I guess the first two.

Nice job Iowa Veteran. They all look better. I like the middle picture better now but still think the entire picture it to dark but I like it much better then I did. I still like the third picture but I agree about the dust.

    Thanks for the touchups, Iowa.

Ferg...is it necessarily a bad thing for the photo to be a little dark?

Another rule but I don't think Iowa's touchups were too unrealistic.

And I really wish the sun and clouds picture would have turned out better. :(

9 and 17 in my opinion are great. But all of them are really good pics.

I know you were and wasn't knocking you for it. Just wondering if a dark and gloomy photo is unique in its own right. Like I said, I'm an amateur but I love this stuff. Just wish I was better at it.
