I know this is last minute (deadline is Friday) but wanted to share with you guys what I believe are some of my better shots. I can only enter TWO. What are they basing the judging on? All of them are great pictures. If you get a judge that doesn't like hunting then 11 will knock you out right away even though it is a great shot. Would have been a better pic if it had a Hoyt in it instead of a Bowtech but that's alright sometimes flaws in art are what make them special!! LOL If you don't know the judges criteria I would go with 10, 12 or 18.
11) Everything is dead in the picture but has a sense of calmness 15) You see green and then POW!! here is a bright brown deer staring at you. Those 2 are my favorite!! Could you send me a copy of number 11 in a larger format? I would love to use this one as a desktop background for my computers. Would really appreciate it. [email protected]

Well the way I read that I think the only one you can go with are the Natural Beauty and Landscapes. I think that would rule out your bow/buck photo and possibly the deer photo depending on how the judges view that rule. I think I would go with 18. Think it would display a beautiful shot along with some great creativity. Most people don't think to take pictures of insects and a crazy looking one at that!
Might be able to make 18 an even better shot if you can blow it up a bit more. Put more focus on the insect instead of the tree branch!
Yeah...all my photos are unedited. I might try playing around with 18 though. However, I just saw another spidey pic. Competition is tough. 10 & 12 stand out for me.
These 3 (slightly adjusted) are the best in my humble opinion. I like the middle one for sure. The last one is good but shows dust on the lens around the rays of light. So, I guess the first two.
Nice job Iowa Veteran. They all look better. I like the middle picture better now but still think the entire picture it to dark but I like it much better then I did. I still like the third picture but I agree about the dust.
Thanks for the touchups, Iowa. Ferg...is it necessarily a bad thing for the photo to be a little dark? Another rule but I don't think Iowa's touchups were too unrealistic.
I know you were and wasn't knocking you for it. Just wondering if a dark and gloomy photo is unique in its own right. Like I said, I'm an amateur but I love this stuff. Just wish I was better at it.
