Brad, not sure if you knew this or not but corn planters plant more than just corn. My beans were planted with a 6 row corn planter. When I get one ill be planting corn, beans and sunflowers with it. The rest ill plant with one of my broadcast spreaders.

I know Greg. But I guess what I'm saying is the only thing I may plant would be beans. And I can broadcast that. It would be nice for sure but not needed for me.

How do you spray round up on broadcast beans?

That's what I did...then when they were bigger I sprayed from my atv with the wand. Actually worked.

Still have about 1/3 of them left. Hope they last until green up.

I agree Greg. But I don't think you NEED a planter to do them. It's not a cash crop just a food plot. Drive over them with Ru and have a cold beer.

Broadcasting works great for planting beans. We did two fields one year. 6 acres each, 12 total. So you lose a little bit when the the sprayer wheels drive over them, but the same thing happens when they're planted normally with 7.5" or 15" rows anyways.

I broadcast planted my beans, sprayed them early by driving over them...then when I sprayed again I drove through the and used the wand to reach out further. It worked. Not one deer complained lol
