As many of you know EHD has been a growing issue across the U.S. with no options presented for control until now! As an aquatic biologist for nearly 20 years I have worked on impaired water systems to improve their water quality and have a thriving ecosystem. As part of this process I was able to connect the dots between the midge that is responsible for EHD and water quality. The culicoides midge prefers poor water quality and no competition with other beneficial aquatic life. As you improve water quality you increase beneficial invertebrates and insects (even amphibians) which in turn helps reduce the midge as they become a primary food source. EHD-fense is a water treatment kit comprised of three simple to use components. Part 1 is Catapult which is a biocatalyst enzyme that aids in speeding up decomposition Part 2 is LiveWater which is a water soluble pouch of beneficial bacteria that aids in nutrient reduction and water quality improvement Part 3 is D-muck which are muck reducing beneficial bacteria pellets that aid in muck reduction which eliminates the breeding ground for the midge As we like to say, No Dead Water. No Dead Deer Our website EHD-fense will be live tomorrow and for any questions feel free to message me for more information Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
There are no shortage of products available to treat the ponds and surface water, users need to check if their states DNR requires permitting to apply chemicals to ponds and wetlands.
Sodium chloride is a chemical and is natural. Still, best to check before applying anything to a water body.
