heading out west this fall. first time out west for my brother and I. I know this is a bow hunt site, but our first trip out west will be with rifles for Colorado first rifle Elk. Never ran the mountains before. We think we have most of the gear we need. we are heading up 3 days before our season to scout. we are driving in, then setting up a back pack camp a few miles in and then hunting and moving if needed. Gear we are still looking into, Better boots, and reasonably priced Frame pack, any suggestions or gear list I could sift through would be awesome. Any advice for this time of year and or the area would be awesome, Oct 14-18)
