Any state that wants to legalize weed can do so. However, as long as it is still a federal crime, state officials are just opening themselves up to prosecution by the feds for conspiracy charges. It has happened in California. Now the feds have two more states to seize assets from (that's one way of working on reducing the deficit. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/01/u...arijuana-shops-close.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

Gambling high can be hazardous to your bank account, but gambling high with a prostitute can be harder on it! If God had been against weed, he would have never tempted Adam with an apple!
A more relaxing high and you don't have to damage your liver to do so. It's relaxing and pleasant. Show me a depressed or angry stoner.
I'm in agreement with the stoner comment. I've worked with a few that were always relaxed :D. Like I said, I'm all for making it legal, its not going to make people start smoking.
I know several of those. They're less of a danger than the gun owners I know that are stocking up for the apocalypse. Stoner friends: Hunting rifles, shotguns, etc. Non-stoner friends: AR-15s and 1000s of rounds.
The type of rifle nor amount of ammo isn't what makes them dangerous, the user is. But I agree with your point that alcoholics are as dangerous as stoners. The only concern I have with legalizing is the extent of use it would reach. Cigarettes were originally intended to be used as weed currently is, a smoke here or there...now they are used for several packs a day. If weed reaches those levels for society it would be alarming.
Well nicotine is far more addictive than weed. I think alcoholics are more dangerous, not as dangerous, than potheads.
LOL It has already reached those levels with some folks. That is like saying if alcohol consumption ever reaches the levels where some are drinking a fifth a day it would be alarming for society. Any drug and alcohol abuse should be alarming yet we don't spend money educating or rehabilitating, we spend it fighting or punishing only to win a pyrrhic victory.
I think both of those points are subjective. Alcohol use is WAY more common, thus so is abuse... This skews us to see far more of the negatives. And I think both can be strongly addictive. Is a joint a day harmless? No. What happens when weed is sold in packs of 20 commercially as cigarettes are and people are buying a carton a week?
Hooker maybe if you smoked less weed you would actually kill a deer. Drugs kill, but Hooker does not.
While I will agree that alcohol is abused more, that isn't the reason I cite it as being more dangerous.
