Those first couple of years after college were great. I was still hanging out with all my college friends on a regular basis, and we all of sudden all had money. We had some great times. But I still enjoyed out time together in college much more. Go to class for a few hours. Take a nap. Hit the gym for basketball, or weights, or whatever. Play video games for a few hours. Eat Taco Bell. Go to buddies house for a game of cards. Get drunk off cheap beer. Call chicks over. Have party. Get back to your tiny, crappy apartment at 5 am. And that was a normal, random Tuesday night in college. You can't exactly do that in the "real" world.
At the age of 54.9, I am going to be finally going to college and getting a degree. Why? Because it's something I could not do out of high school and by the time I got out of the military, I had a family to take care of. Enjoy your youth because once you hit the permanent full time employment status, a lot of your free time for fun stuff disappears.
I did the school / co-op thing. Then companies I worked for started closing and I had to change positions. I actually stopped going to school for 3 years, but now I'm back. I don't have too much longer to go and my company pays for it. College was fun but for me it got old quick. I never had the money to do what I wanted to do. Now that I have a full time position, I have the money to play with a little. Once I finish, well then there will just be a lot more to play with.
I had the time of my life at hocking college and got my associates in wildlife management. Transferred to WVU for wildlife and fisheries and i am ready to be done! Morgantown is not the place for me lol. 1 more year and ill be living the dream so it will be worth it in the end.
Once you get towards the end, it's very easy to get anxious. Sure is nice to be done with school work, but at the same point, I miss a lot of things about college... at least sometimes. I finished up college 6-7 years ago. Got my bachelors in under 3 years and Masters in another 2. Looking back, it seemed like it flew by. Just enjoy it when you're there! Do what you need to, to make grades.. just don't take anything too serious. Always have fun as you have only 1 time in your life like that.
If you wanna work in natural resources, GO to hocking... then transfer and get your bachelors. Everyone that works in the wildlife field has heard of hocking.
