Will be interesting to see where the transfers land from OSU for QB. No way all 3 stay. Does FSU poach Miller to replace Winston as rumored? Would he be eligible right away?

Yes he would be eligible to play at FSU next year.

Does he graduate this year? Don't know his specifics but thought he was a nonredshirt Junior, no?

Pretty sure he graduates this year. He has been rumored to LSU as well. He will probably end up in Oregon or FSU though.

Cardale Jones should just go pro.

I think he should and will. His stock is pretty high right now IMO. Wouldn't take the chance of it going backwards being a 2nd or 3rd string QB if I were him. I think someone would take him fairly high 2nd or 3rd round and make him a project.

I don't think a project like Cardale Jones would be drafted earlier than the middle rounds. But declaring now might still be a good option while his stock is high for such limited experience.

I'd pick Cardale Jones over Mariotta every time. He has size and a huge arm. Draft him and develop him with NFL coaches.

I still cannot believe I lost some serious money on that game. Meyer is the real deal.

Had I been able to make it to IL the past few years, you'd have a heck of an Ohio State hat collection. You are always betting against the bucks!

Who knows if Braxton even comes back from this, that is a major injury for a QB. JT would not transfer. I'd like him to stay, but declaring would be a good decision for Cardale. All that depth... Gone.

Two good QB's are coming in this year, Torrance Gibson from FL and Joe Burrow from Ohio to go along with last years QB from GA, Stephen Collier.

Cardale already said he wasn't ready for the NFL so I don't think he would say that if he was still considering it. Saying that, regardless how true it is or isn't, would be counterintuitive to his draft stock. I think Barrett and Jones both return and Barrett will start and Cardale will play in 2017. Sounds crazy, but I think it happens.

Saying that would have no bearing at all on his draft stock. None whatsoever. We will find out today, as today is the last day to declare for the draft.

Obviously I'd love to see him back...

I disagree, why would a team want someone who isn't confident in themselves? Football is about whats in between the ears just as much as it is about size and physical ability. I think he meant what he said and said what he meant. At least that's my opinion, he very well could declare, get drafted by the Browns and they win 10 Super Bowls in a row...aww the dream.

I got to listen to the local radio commentators yesterday talk about how the Illini would be better with OSU's second-string.

Jones would be smart to stay. If he gets better then he will make way more money on his rookie contract. Instead of a 2nd 3rd or 4th round pick this year if he is a top tier #1 in a couple years then thats a huge difference in money.

Frenchie our Illini would probably struggle against the OSU practice squad.

It is said he was speaking of that he wants to get his degree, not that he isn't ready to for the next level.
