I guess the difference at this point is that FSU is in charge of the Winston investigation because the NCAA has not opted to take over, like they did in the Gurley case. But if Winston did do anything illegal then I will be first in line to see him punished appropriately,and until that day does or does not come he should play, just my opinion.
5 starters on ND are not playing the entire season for "allegedly" cheating on homework. Nothing has been proven yet.... under investigation. In the event that it is found to be true the program would rather not have them on the football field in the meantime cheating themselves. Pretty simple. And FSU knows exactly the ongoings of Winston and what he has done and hasn't done. Either buying time/wins or hoping they get out of it. Don't be naive about it. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.......
Wrong, the NCAA did not take over. UGA suspended him, not the NCAA. They are filing for reinstatement this week, Gurley admitted he made a mistake and paid the penalty for it. If NCAA chooses not to reinstate yet, then he is just paying the penalty for a poor decision. Winston has made numerous poor decisions and the school let's him get away with it.
And I hope that decision bites FSU in the *** and they forfeit games that Winston played in. Shoplifting crablegs, stealing for Burger King, the rape allegations and his latest stupidity on campus....real class act
I am not even trying to defend Winston, like I said IF he did do it then I hope he gets punished appropriately. I guess all the hatred does come with winning 23 straight. I get the hate for Winston, I have grown less fond of him as well, But I don't get the hate for the program...
Why last week, the week before one of FSU’s biggest games of the season against ND, on the ESPN website over half of the headlines were related to Winston? Now not a single headline about Winston during FSU’s off week? Did it all just go away? The media abuses their rights and puts out BS articles with no evidence and people buy into it. They wanted Winston to sit and FSU to loose with no evidence whatsoever. Winston is no saint and I am ready for the guy to leave. He brings nothing but negative press to a good program, makes bad decisions and is immature. He may have taken money for the autographs and I wouldn’t put it past him to do so. I also don’t believe over half of the BS the media puts out. The media shouldn’t have the power to control college football with accusations without evidence as the football season could get real interesting before each big game. There is too much $$$money involved and the media shouldn’t control it. Who do we want to sit on the bench this week? No evidence No story…. Even on this website and hunting and fishing in general when someone post about the deer they just shot or fish they caught what is the response?? Picture or it didn’t happen. So how about some evidence, until then it didn’t happen.
