What has ISU ever done in football, for that matter, any sport? They were a season or two from getting rid of the football program altogether. If he can play for any D1 team in the nation, why did he end up at ISU? I'm sure even I could look good running against Youngstown State, Western Illinois, Missouri State, etc. Crapper of a school? I'd put an IU degree up against an ISU degree all day long. Second largest alumni base in the country, not to mention alumni in some very important positions with some very large companies. Yeah, it's a crapper of a school. It's okay though, I get that every other school in Indiana is jealous of playing second fiddle to IU.
Done. Remember how we used to spot you guys 17 points just to make it fun and then come back to win at the Shoe? Wonder if we will start that up again? Good times.
Any sport?!?! Lol You are funny as all get out, I would expect nothing less from someone from Gloomington. We had an Olympian in Track and Field. We've had multiple NCAA D1 Champions in Track and Field over the last 6 years - I mention track because you said "any" sport. He, Bell was a First Team All American out of Dub C or WC (if you don't know what that is then you don't know anything about football in this state) that wanted to go to IU but that **** a$$ team you call a football team didn't want him - he was said to be "too small". You can ask any college coach in the nation, they missed on him and we just got lucky. Again read my lips - ran for 1 9 2 on IU last year, heck he still might be running. I would put my IState degree and job that came after it up against any of my "friends" from Terre Haute that went/graduated from IU's famed Kelly School of Business. What a joke! In that I do realize it probably says less about my said "friends" than that IU Education which is a first class education. Just think it's funny when someone wants to suggest that me and my ISU degree isn't capable of beating out 10 IU grads for a given job... I mean give-me-a-break!
Cool. IU had a bronze medalist in the high jump during the last summer Olympics. The same guy won five NCAA championships in the high jump over the last four years. Washington Catholic? (Don't get your panties in a bunch, I know it is Warren Central) Apparently IU isn't the only school who thought he was too small, because otherwise he wouldn't be at ISU. Great, he ran for 192 yards, but the team still lost. Oh, you got a job in Terre Haute with your ISU degree? That's wonderful. Put that ISU degree up against an IU degree in the financial sector of New York and see how it works out for you.
Ok can there be rule that this is about Football? Next our resident IU grad will want to bet on synchronize swimming.
Oh I hope we are on the same team in the hunting contest here at BH.com, maybe we can be winners in life together. Yeah still in Terre Haute and doing well for the most part, thanks for asking! I wouldn't do well in New York or any other "big" city for that matter, not a big city guy myself. Anyway... Good luck this hunting and football season, perhaps I will see you at the game in a few weeks?!?!
D1AA a not D2 and Football only. D1 in all other sports and it was only a discusson. Fact is D1AA Indiana State a good 45 mins. from Gloomington got beat by a TD in the last 2 mins. of the game and got shafted by the B10 crew working the game. Oh well.
He brought up track. This sure is a sensitive bunch around here when it comes to a thread veering slightly off-topic. Nah, I wait until the real teams show up on the schedule.
Actually you said, "when has ISU been good in any sport". I simply answered that question by bringing up another sport. But back to the topic at hand. Not going to let someone tell people what did and didn't happen. What happened was he got all worried that some Terre Haute resident called his big city Gloomington - that upset him. Moving on all I wanted was a side bet that my small school would beat your reallt awesome big school anyway!
Yes, I'm upset that you replaced the B in Bloomington with a G. I've heard worse when it comes to Bloomington. What did happen was IU beat ISU last year and they'll do it again this year. I tried, but I'm still not sure they know much about football in Terre Haute. Michigan has the Big House, but Terre Haute has the Half House.
Sorry it took me so long man. Been in the Yukon for the last couple weeks, and unfortunately, missed my first UF / UT game in 8 years. BUT! Looks like we handled business, and in honor of J Drizzy, you may rock the bottom of the two (sorry I didn't upload the image myself). I missed your post the other day. Hope you had a good trip! I'm putting up the avatar and sig addition now. Maybe next year will turn out different.
