Has been about 20+ below average the last couple days. Last night the wind came up out of the NW and was blowing about 18 early this morning. 20° f wind chill. Latest forecast is down to 9°f wind chill in the morning and temp in the teens. Big fast change is hard to adjust to and this old man don't like it one bit. Especially after watching a doe cross the road about 80 ft from the house. Behind her a short ways came the 8pt buck. Walked up a field drive, crossed the road, down in the grader ditch and back out following the adult doe. Still shooting time but the crossbow is in the basement. They would have heard the door open so wouldn't have made any difference. Don't hunt weekends so will be out Monday evening after things settle down some.
Yeah I was going to hunt this afternoon but with temps in the teens and the NW wind I just wasn't feeling it.
It will be around 27 degrees in the morning here in Central KY. Gonna hit it Tom evening. Saw a buck chasing a doe across the road this morning. Jacked up for sure Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Worse out East. 18 with 8 wind chill. Chance of some showers tomorrow evening. Back in the later 60's I had an uncle that lived in Ely, MN. Spent a few days up there on vacation once. Caught a ton of big Bull Heads at night. No body fished for them as they were considered rough fish. Still have the stones out of a Drumming Perch.
