Im hunting public ground in So Ill, and have been out glassing trying to roost birds and what not. One night I saw 28 fly to roost, then last night kicked one out of a field, and saw one jake in the roost at 7:03 (sunset was 7:15 not dark till 7:45). No way he saw me, but he actually flew down at about 7:20 which I thought was strange. I've been hitting the locator calls right arond dark trying to get some gobbles but nothing at all yet which last year this time it was easy to roost many birds. Last year it was about in the 60's where this year it is like in the 40's. Is that a primary reason for no responses???
