Seen several bachelor groups over the weekend and some young bucks pushing each other around. Found one of our 3 yr old 10s dead, probably 2-3 weeks old. He was close enough to the property line that I'm assuming he was shot and lost. Sucks to pass 145" deer over and over and find him dead.
I think this weather has them messed up cause when I shot my buck on the 6th I seen two other smaller bucks chasing yearlings and the buck I shot was in the woods watching the doe in the field that was 30 yards in front of me Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yeah this weather is making wonder if some lite rattling and some grunt calls would actually work being that it keeps getting warm then cold then back to warm again. I might just try it a little to see what happens. Has anyone else tried it?
I would try some doe bleats I've seen and done it one too many times that buck grunts can scare some deer specially if he's not the dominant buck in the area Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Or if he's been chased off by a bigger buck this year Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Definitely, I heard from a neighbor they found a couple deer on their property with there heads cut off... WTH is a matter with people...
