tried it when it first came out years ago. had a button buck stand below me on evening. dropped the applicator on him and it landed right between his shoulder blades. (this was about Nov 6th). he came by the next morning at he was "ragged"!!!!!. fur was all ruffled up, 1 ear was hanging down and he just looked a mess. can only imagine what went on during the night
Sat with my buddy on saturday and hung up some code blue in the tink bomb bottles and he ended up getting a 9pt that ended up coming through. Yesterday i had an 8 come running through just like the 9. Granted it is the rut so who knows if the bucks were on another scent but i'd say from the past two days i think it works. I've used it in the past as well...there's a reason why its so expensive
We have some, cant say that it works. Can't say that tinks 69 or any of that stuff works, I see more deer where I don't use anything. I know people that won't use any estrus type scents at all. They says they have a tendency to jump string. They use tarsal or food scents so their aggressive or hungry.
I'm never sure if it works or not. I seem to see more deer without using anything than when I do. I'm not in the best place to use it either. It is like most of these, if you see/kill something while using any one of these items it is the best thing on the market. If you don't see/kill anything while using some sort of attractant then you think they don't work. It is personal preference more than anything to me. Nothing beats the real thing.
I have not used the code blue, but I have used the special golden estrous. I have had better luck with estrous scents right before the rut really peaks. But I did shoot my buck last year with his nose about 3 feet from my scent bomb.
