Hey, I checked a couple weeks ago using the method mentioned in an earlier thread and I thought I didn't get drawn. I checked today and found that I did get drawn and got my elk point.
Congrats on the tag....what unit ? Did you see a 481 in front or a 581 when you checked a few weeks ago ? I am only inquiring for informational purposes as from the other forums that used this procedure, you would be the first I heard with a suprise...and a good one I hope.
Good, hope you didn't cancel any plans. I posted in the other thread that it probably wans't the best way to check since mine had both -481 and -581. I also ended up with my tags
No, I only had one choice for deer. Unit 45. I don't remember if it was 481 but it definitely started with a 4 for my deer tag.
Leadville/Camp Hale area...have you hunted that area before ? Seems the back door method is popular on other sites and accurate...not 100% why the 4 and a tag..but oh well...guess that is a good problem to have. Rob
I just looked up mine and it said successful. I thought cool then I looked at the bottom of the page and I was successful for my second choice a preference point. Make sure thats what you got. When I looked it up before I had a 481 in the line.
130, just wanted to clarify that you saw the 481 which was unsuccessful for first choice and 581 successful second choice...
Yes I did. I didn't see any way of telling a difference. This is were I went to find the draw results that aren't in code: http://wildlife.state.co.us/Hunting/BigGame/DrawResultsAndPrefPoints/
Waid, Good to hear - Good Luck on the Mulie. You doubling up with an Elk hunt/tag? I'm trying my best to be in 45 again last week of Elk season...stay in touch! Might run into you at the Ol' Gravel Pits again...
The 481 would of meant unsuccessful for your first choice.581 meant successful for second choice. However the backdoor method requires you to purchase a habitat stamp. When you do that it shows the licenses on file..481 no luck, 581 successful
